Vocaloid

I am a fan of vocaloid and I know so much about it. Here’s what I know.

Vocaloid is a synthesizer. Basically a computer is singing.

These voices do take human samples but songs are made up by computers.

This is very handy since Vocaloids don’t do rubbish like drugs etc. Like normal artists.

Anyway, The first Vocaloid was Meiko. She was kinda a failure at first but they kept improving her voice, along with Meiko, they decided to go and create another vocaloid, a male one. Kaito Shion. His voice wasn’t that good either but they kept working on it.

When one day, for a break, they decided to make a new one. Her name is Miku Hatsune, her voice was spot on perfect, so they made her looks and made her first song. What they did to present her first song was to play it in the streets of Japan. The song was called “Melt” it was basically a love song. While this song was playing, they asked people if it was a person who was singing. All of them said yes but when they found out that it was a computer who was singing, they were shocked, but they still loved it.

As time went on, two new vocaloids came. Their name was Rin and Len. Rin was a girl and she was created first, Rin (Right) was made to get the younger fans, since she’s a 14 year old. They decided to clone her and make her clone into a guy. Her twin. Len (Left) was created, the two 14 year olds would since duets together and silly songs sometimes. But they sing what 14 year olds would go through, Rin sang about depression as Len sang about having his first kiss, or crush. And so on.

Luka Megurine was soon created. She’s 20. Her voice was mature, she was the mature one in the group and would normally sing on her own, when she sang with other vocaloids, she see’s Miku as her rival but she would sing good songs with her. Along with the other vocaloids.

This was the vocaloid group. Meiko, Kaito, Luka, Miku, Rin and Len. They were the main Japanese vocaloids. This sparked a new image in the Japanese creators minds and decided to create more for other countries. For example, They made a British Vocaloid called Oliver. A Korean Vocaloid called SeeU. A Swedish vocaloid called YOHIOloid, And so many more. This is truly a fantastic thing.

To this day, they have presented concerts with these vocaloids. Holograms would appear on stage, they would connect with the audience, making us feel as if they are real. Have actual feelings with them.
